The Wounds of War are not always Easy to See - "Give an Hour"

Give an Hour is a nonprofit organization founded in September 2005 by Dr. Barbara V. Romberg, a licensed clinical psychologist. Give an Hour is working to develop a national network of volunteers capable of responding to both acute and chronic conditions that arise within our society. Its first target is population is the U.S. military community, specifically the troops and families being affected by the current military conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Give an Hour provides counseling to:
Many returning combat veterans suffering from depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder are not routinely seeking the mental health treatment they need due to the stigma associated with receiving mental services. Therefore, Give an Hour provides services that are separate from the military establishment.
The goal of Give an Hour is to provide easy access to skilled professionals for everyone affected by the current war.
